Testing

Our testing department is staffed with technicians who are highly trained and will ensure your well-being. We use the latest, non-invasive cardiac testing procedures:

EKG (electrocardiogram, sometimes also called ECG)

This is a quick, safe and painless test using small electrode stickers placed on the chest, arms and legs. They detect when the body sends an electrical signal to begin a new heartbeat. The information is recorded for the doctor to measure the strength and timing of electrical signals as they pass through the heart. Learm more about EKG

Stress Test/Treadmill Test

This test will show how the heart rhythm changes when it’s resting and exercising.

Holter Monitor

This is a 24-hour EKG test. You will wear a small, portable device to record heart rhythm during your daily activities. The doctor will also ask you to keep an hour-by-hour diary so they know what you were doing.

Cardiolite Test

This test determines if your coronary arteries are supplying your heart with enough blood. It involves using an IV to inject a drop of radioactive tracer into a vein in your arm. Our nuclear medicine camera can detect when your blood carries the tracer to your heart muscle and arteries.
