“We are blessed to have an active and dedicated Auxiliary and Foundation
working to help offset the cost of this cutting edge imaging technology
at Mission Regional Medical Center,” said Javier Iruegas, CEO, Mission

The new Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5 T provides the next level of care in
imaging technology. It is 50% stronger for enhanced image quality and
more precise diagnostics. It is also larger in bore-size for improved
patient comfort and reducing claustrophobia issues. It includes a detachable
table for patient comfort and improved safety and can provide access to
patients weighing up to 550 pounds. It is quieter and faster.
This new MRI scanner at Mission Regional Medical Center’s radiology
suite will expand access to diagnostic imaging that supports a complete
range of clinical applications, including neurology, orthopedics, body
imaging, angiography, cardiology, breast imaging, and oncology.
Mission Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary exists to develop and
maintain an efficient and humanistic volunteer staff which offers an extra
dimension of care and service to patients, empathy for families, visitors
and supportive services for the facility’s staff.
The Foundation at Mission Regional Medical Center assist Mission Regional
Medical Center by encouraging philanthropic support to improve the healthcare
resources available to the communities we serve.
