H-E-B is once again a proud supporter of the
Mission Pink Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness. H-E-B leadership and hospital representatives gathered at Mission Regional
Medical Center for the $5,000 check presentation. The store has sponsored
the Mission Pink event since the first walk in 2009.
"We are thrilled to continue our involvement with this important initiative,"
said Linda Tovar, H-E-B Border Region Public Affairs Manager. "Promoting
early detection of breast cancer and women's health is a key priority for H-E-B."
Javier Iruegas, CEO for Mission Regional Medical Center stated, "Support
from H-E-B is very important in our efforts to bring awareness about this
disease. These partnerships, along with the participation from the community,
are what make the Mission Pink Walk so successful. We are very grateful
for such tremendous support."
