(Mission, TX) Mission Regional Medical Center and its Medical Staff kicked
off a fundraising campaign to help the victims of the powerful earthquake in Haiti.
The non-profit community hospital and the non-profit Physicians Association
pledged a total of $10,000 to aide the Haiti disaster.
“ The devastating events that continue to unfold in Haiti and the
staggering human tragedy compels us to look beyond our local community
to the overwhelming needs of our global community,” said Javier
Iruegas, CEO, Mission Regional Medical Center.
“We have a long history of coming to the aid of those impacted by
natural disaster,” said Jeselle Mathews, MD, OB/GYN, Chief of Staff,
Mission Regional Medical Center. “Our donation is a testament to
the generous nature of our physicians, who also have offered their own
time, money and expertise to help the people of Haiti.”
